This is a the second part of the Blessid Union story. Click here to read chapter 1 .

After Eliot and I left the touring behind in the cover band Slamm, we started recording our first demo with Ligosa Entertainment in Cincinnati Ohio. I think there were two songs on the demo, one titled "She Reminds Me Of You" and "Push It To The Limit" The songs sounded a little like the Cars with the eighth note rock guitars and the straight drum beats. I promise I will find these recordings and post them for you. Those songs were produced by Mark Liggett and Chris Barbosa and they hired CP Roth to lay down some tracks (CP co-produced the first 4 cds by Blessid Union and toured with the group) and he brought in his friend Rick Deringer to play lead guitar which was a big treat for us star struck kids from Cincinnati.

After finishing the production and mixing of the demo Mark Liggett sent the tapes out to all the record labels in New York and LA. We got a lot of response from the effort but none of it was real positive. At this point we were put on the back burner by our producer and manager and we had to make a decision to keep writing and recording more demos or quit. So Eliot took a job as a security guard at the Cincinnati Bell building in Cincinnati and I took an assistant engineering job in our managers studio, Ligosa Sound which enabled us to stay off the road and record demos in the studio after hours. That's all the time I have now so check back later for chapter 3.
