We hooked up with the producer for Blessid Union Of Souls Matt Senatore or in the music world he's known as Emosia. Over the years Matt would hop on the tour bus with the band and perform live with them as you can see to the left. The foundation of the band was actually built from some songs that Matt and Jeff Pence were writing in a demo studio in the early 90's. They brought Jeff's partner Eliot Sloan into the mix and Blessid Union Of Souls was formed. We asked Matt some questions about his music career.
Q1. How did you become interested in the music business?
Matt: I was in Camp and saw these kids rapping in a talent
show. I was 11 i think.. I was in awe.. By 12 I had my first audition
with a record company.. Profile records..
Q2. Were you an artist before you were the Producer for Blessid Union?
Matt: Yes..I had a deal with East West Records which was part of Atlantic. I also put out a couple of rap records on indie labels..

Some artists are a slow burn, quietly honing their skills while
churning out albums of craftsman-quality tunes, and slowly building an
intensely loyal fan base through commitment and perseverance. Other
artists seem to drop into the public consciousness fully formed, their
debut project so perfectly crafted that you wonder where they came from
... and where they could possibly go from here. Then, occasionally, you
find an artist like Building 429, who epitomizes both traits – the
proverbial ten years in the making overnight success.
Here is the first Music Video by Blessid Union Of Souls. It's called I Believe and was shot on an old soundstage in LA. It's also in our video player. Be sure to vote on it. It features Jeff Pence, Eddie Hedges, CP Roth and Eliot Sloan.
